On March 27 at 2:10 p.m., Officer Christian Vargas, along with other members of the department, was dispatched to the Warwick Mall Macy’s for a report of a shoplifting in progress. Officers were advised that the suspect had fled in a blue SUV, and that a male and female were inside the vehicle.

Officer Vargas was in the area of Greenwich Avenue and Metro Center Boulevard when he spotted the suspect vehicle traveling south on Greenwich Avenue.
