Warwick Rotary solicits grant applications for community projects
The Rotary of Warwick, a service organization with the motto “service above self,” is once again looking to support the missions of community non-profits.
The club is soliciting applications for grant support. The deadline for applications is Oct. 31.
Applying organizations should be tax exempt under IRC 501(c)(3). Although the club has assisted many causes, for the purposes of these awards, individuals, school clubs or sports teams should not apply. Also, the club does not support general fundraising campaigns for normal operations costs or travel expenses.
Warwick Rotary is interested in supporting targeted projects that deal with health, hunger, poverty, problems of the elderly, children, domestic abuse, education and literacy, disabilities, town beautification and ecology. Each application requires a description of the organization and its project, a statement of goals and objectives of the project, intended outcome, the total amount needed, the amount requested from Warwick Rotary and how the donation will be recognized.
Applications and additional information are available from the club's website, www.clubrunner.ca/warwick. Completed applications should be mailed to Warwick Rotary Club, Attn: Donna Caccia, P.O. Box 6803, Warwick, RI 02886.
An announcement of recipients will be made on Nov. 30.
