Dozens more top-students that had to have top-teachers teaching them; teachers that are going on 3 years of working without a contract. As Mayor, I would have worked on a new teachers contract EVERY DAY until we had one. The dozens of members of the Warwick Teachers Union that I spoke to on many occasions during my Mayoral campaign, agreed that I supported them more than anyone ever has. They also agreed that Avedisian supported them less than anyone ever has, but when they finally voted, they decided not to give me their endorsement, and I believe it was for fear of retaliation from the Mayor. Here is how the Mayor thanked them. Mayor Avedisian has treated the teachers worse than he ever did before, because now he knows he can get away with it. In fact, he treated them so bad, they picketed in front of City Hall. I hope that the WTU can see their error. When someone bullies you and you let them, you are only enabling the bully to do more and more. 2018 is right around the corner. I hope I earn the endorsement of the Warwick Teachers Union. I think I deserve it. I think most teachers feel the same way too. As Mayor, I will treat teachers with more respect than Avedisian ever has, and I think the WTU knows that I will.

    Happy Summer everyone.

    Rick Corrente

    The Taxpayers Mayor
