Warwick Veterans Middle School was evacuated Tuesday morning after a bomb threat written on a note was found. Updates will be provided as they become available. Superintendent Philip Thornton's office released the following message:
This morning at Veterans Middle School a note was found that indicated a bomb threat for the school. The building was evacuated in accordance with the protocols for such circumstances. The Police are on the scene and are currently investigating.
School is being dismissed for the day. Bussed students will be dismissed to their busses from the field area. The remaining students will be evacuated to the Mickey Stevens Ice Rink where parents can pick up the students.
We will provide updates as they emerge.
