Welcome commitment to city's well-being
To the Editor:
On behalf of the VNA of Care New England, I would like to express my gratitude to Mayor Scott Avedisian and the city of Warwick for their generous contributory support for fiscal year 2011-2012. Knowing the economic challenges the city faces, we deeply appreciate the funding, which allows us to continue to provide high quality skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapy and hospice services to the community. The city’s support of these important services is a demonstration of their commitment to the health and well-being of the Warwick residents.
Since 1908, the VNA of Care New England, a not-for-profit, Medicare- and Medicaid-certified home care and hospice agency, has provided home health care services for the Rhode Island community, continuously adapting programs and services to meet current health needs. Today, the agency is recognized as a leader in home health, offering services such as the state’s only in-home pulmonary rehab program, an enhanced remote patient monitoring system, a compassionate palliative and hospice care and a new stroke after-care program. Each year, the agency also provides community health education, bereavement support groups and thousands of influenza vaccinations.
It is both a privilege and honor to continue to grow our relationship with the city of Warwick and to provide the high quality care and services that the VNA of Care New England is known for.
Thank you again for your continued support.
