William A. McCullough, Jr.


William A. McCullough, Jr., age 94, formerly of Greenwich Farms, Minnesota Avenue, Warwick, died on March 20, 2013 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. He was the husband of the late Mary Exilda “Zeke” (Gaudet) McCullough.

Born in Providence, the son of the late William A. and Catherine (Felton) McCullough, he lived in North Carolina for several years before moving to Warwick 15 years ago. He was a graduate of Brown University and a United States Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. McCullough was employed by Nicholson File /Cooper Group before retiring as a regional vice president for sales. A swimmer and avid golfer, he was a long-time member of Wanamoisett Country Club.

He is survived by a son, James J. McCullough of Florida; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late William A. McCullough, III; and the brother of the late Mildred McCullough, Harriet Curran, and Catherine Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, March 23, in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors was in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements by Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, Warwick.
