William A. Trudell

William A. Trudell, WFD (Ret), passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, April 12, 2019 at the Sunnyview Nusing Home, Warwick. He was the husband of the late Joan L. (Fontaine) Trudell.

Born in East Greenwich, he was a son of the late Joseph A. Trudell and Frances (Williams) Monahan. Mr. Trudell was a chief lineman for the Warwick Fire Department for 28 years, before his retirement, and a life member of the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Company. He also enjoyed the sport of softball, coaching and managing many teams.

William was the beloved father of Fred M. Trudell (Laurie), Mary J. Maron (Paul), Sallie A. Brennan (Brian) and Carol M. Chevalier (Andrew); loving grandfather of Billy, Nicole, Paulie, Michael, Melanie and Michelle; loving great-grandfather of Abby. He was the brother of the late Joseph Trudell, George Trudell, Fred Monahan and Ruth Thornton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.
