William “Bill” E. Bragger Jr., 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Doris M. (Tetrault) Bragger for 43 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William E. Bragger, Sr. and Helen V. (Healey) Bragger. Bill lived in Warwick for many years before moving to Coventry in 1980. He and his wife, Doris, recently moved to their home in North Kingstown where he passed. Bill was employed by IUOE Local #57 for many years before retiring. Additionally, he was a commercial fisherman, and the owner & operator of Bragger Logging and Firewood. Bill also worked as an operator for the family business, AE Bragger Construction. He was a member of the QDNYC, East Greenwich Fireman’s Club, and the R.I. Saltwater Anglers. Bill enjoyed fishing, hiking, and snowmobiling in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
In addition to his wife, Doris, Bill is survived by four sons, William C. Bragger, David J. Anderson, Jay “Chris” Bragger, and Keith G. Bragger; five grandchildren, Sebastian Anderson, Karin Anderson, Jay Bragger, Giana Bragger, and Robin Bragger; one great-granddaughter, Enna Anderson; four siblings, Robert R. Bragger, Stephen T. Bragger, Mary Ann Grady, and James Q. Bragger. He is also survived by three aunts and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
