William Joseph Manton Jr., of Warwick, passed away peacefully at age 64 on March 22, 2020, at Kent Hospital, Warwick, following a long illness.
He was born in Warwick on April 17, 1955, to his parents, the late Margaret Veronica (McGinley) and William Joseph Manton Sr. Bill was a devoted husband and father, as well as an avid sailing and aviation enthusiast. During his career, Bill worked for Milton Bradley and, from 1997, for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) as Manager of Inventory Control until his retirement in 2016.
Bill was the loving husband of the late Laurie Ann (McCombe) Manton, beloved father of Warren James Manton, and beloved brother of Maureen Ann (Manton) O’Gorman and Margaret Lee Manton
A memorial celebration of Bill’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
