William S. Hazard III, 61, a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Karen L. (Brown) Hazard for 29 years.
Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late William S. and Grace M. (Beagan) Hazard Jr. Mr. Hazard was a United States Marine Corp. veteran of the U.S. invasion of Grenada.
William was the loving father of Christopher S. Hazard; brother of Karen R. Cooper, Stephen R. Hazard, and his wife, Peggy, and Thomas J. Hazard; and uncle of Mokanna Weir, Stephanie Fagnant and Kristy Brown.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Wednesday, April 3 from 4-8 pm.
