The fireman and all the other unions in the city have known for years their pensions and healthcare benefits were unsustainable. They just chose to ignore it. Mr. Cushman dares to point out the obvious and he is vilified by Mr. Lloyd and the fire union. Let's not forget Mr. Lloyd is quoted as saying the union voted in favor of sending the email to CVS. What did Mr. Lloyd and his union think.....CVS would give Mr. Cushman a raise ? Really ?????
If the unions have a beef it should be directed at Avedisian and Lloyd for promising them the world knowing full well it can't e delivered.
What about all the overtime the fire dept racks up every year. Don't they think the taxpayers are noticing ? Especially ones with children in school.....the schools are leveled funded but Armstrong and company just waste our money.
At the end of the day Lloyd and his fire union violated the basic tenet of our constitution......one Roger Williams found this state on......Mr. Cushman's right of free speech and the citizens of Warwick will hold them accountable forever on this. Shame on you Mr. Lloyd.
