I met Hugh Fisher back in the 70's. He owned a real estate company called H.A.Stone Real Estate Co. He loved Warwick then, and stated it often, as he does now. As the owner of my own real estate company, Realty Center, I had the pleasure of co-brokering with him on many occasions. Then I heard that he introduced a new compensation plan for Realtors. The plan was to give 100% of the commission to the agent and have the agent pay Hugh "rent". He was the pioneer for companies like REMAX who went on to copy the idea and set the standard for today's real estate industry .

Hugh made a fortune between his real estate company and the new homes he built, and today he is still a pioneer, and he still has a deep love for Warwick. His gift of 18 acres to make the area even more picturesque should be applauded with a standing ovation.

Warwick has more than its share of critics. I wish we had more do-gooders like Hugh Fisher. He is still, over 40 years later, setting the standard.

Stay well old friend.
