Shekarchi said, “The economy has been a mess for 15 years, but we’re finally starting to turn the light and focus on jobs...." Just wondering who was guarding the gates 15 years ago? Also pleased to see they are now focusing on jobs after 15 years of focusing on something else.

Ever the pessimist, I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that come Wednesday morning it will be business is usual at both the State and City level. Having a go at predicting the future, in two years time I feel this statement might be one resurrected and used in argument: “The economy has been a mess for 17 years, but we’re finally starting to turn the light and focus on jobs...."
