Andrew G. Meschisen, 79, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence, after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Bradley) Meschisen for 54 years. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Melnyk) Meschisen. He was a woodworking instructor for Pilgrim High School, and Gorton Jr. High School for many years until retiring. He was a graduate of RI College and also Central Connecticut State College where he received a Master’s Degree. He enjoyed hiking & biking. Andrew was an avid photographer and belonged to the PSRI. He was also an avid gardener and volunteer at Insight. Besides his wife, he leaves behind his two children Wendy Hopkins and her husband Steve, Andrew Meschisen and his wife Jackie. He was Buddy to Theodore and Madeline Hopkins, Lizzie, Jonny and Nathan Meschisen. He was the brother of Maryann Mazzarella, and predeceased brother Fr. Eugene Meschisen.
