Anna A. (Vendresca) Shea, 92, formerly of Petansett Court, Warwick, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Brentwood Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward A. Shea for 57 years.
She was born in the Norwood section of Warwick, a daughter of the late Domenic and Rose (Cifelli) Vendresca, and was a life-long Warwick resident. She was a life-time member of the former Saint William Church in Warwick. Anna enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and rug braiding. She enjoyed spending time at the Pilgrim Senior Center, and summering at Roy Carpenters Beach.
She is survived by her loving children, Dorothy Shea (Richard Greene) of Winter Haven, FL, Edward Shea (Katherine) of North Kingstown, Kevin Shea (Paula) of Warwick, and Patricia Russo (Peter) of Charlestown.; five grandchildren: Jayson Lafauci, Edward Shea, Thomas Shea, Carley Giansanti, and Adam Shea. She was the great-grandmother of eleven. She was the sister of Margaret Metivier, and the late Peter, Domenic, Anthony, and Louis Vendresca, and Natalie Davis.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Brentwood by the Bay Assisted Living and Brentwood Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care given to Anna.
Due to the pandemic, visitation is respectfully omitted and the funeral will be private. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
