Paula M. Armstrong, 57, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Kent Hospital. She was born in Warwick, RI to the late William J. and Rose P. (O'Neill) Armstrong. For 24 years, she was the loving companion of Daniel Sevigny, with whom she created many beautiful memories.

Paula is survived by three sisters: Lynda Cavanagh and her husband Bob, Kathleen Larson and her husband Harry, and Maureen Cobb, her best friend and sister; several nieces and nephews with whom she cherished the time she spent with them. She also leaves behind her two loving dogs, Jameson and Shamus. She is predeceased by her brother William J. Armstrong, Jr.

Paula was a devoted aunt who never missed a milestone in her nieces' and nephews' lives. She attended their games, recitals, and even helped with back-to-school shopping, always making each one feel special. Her love, support, and constant presence created a lasting impact, and her legacy of dedication will live on as they become aunts and uncles themselves.

Paula cherished life and found joy in the simple pleasures, often seeking out a good laugh. She loved taking spontaneous "joyrides" to Ogunquit, ME, for lunch, savoring the moments spent by the seaside. A talented gardener and avid crafter, Paula found fulfillment in nurturing both plants and her creative spirit.

Paula was a lifelong Rhode Islander, having attended St. Benedict School and graduated from Pilgrim High School, Class of 1984. She later pursued her passion for helping others at the Newport School for Nursing, and graduating from Salve Regina University with her Bachelor’s degree. This led to a successful career with both Kent Hospital and VNA of Care New England at Kent Hospital, where she touched countless lives with her skill, compassion, and dedication.

A devoted nurse, Paula’s life was marked by her deep care for others and her unwavering dedication to her patients. Her kind and generous spirit led her to nursing, where she consistently went above and beyond to meet the needs of those in her care.

A Funeral Mass in honor of Paula will take place at Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 455 Washington Street, Coventry, RI on Wednesday, October 30th, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive guests after Mass.
