Barbara Alison Cole, 73, of Warwick unexpectedly passed April 9th 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital.

Barbara was born in Newport, RI, the daughter of Roy W. and Mary (Toppa) Sigley.

Barbara and her mother Mary were founding owners of the Foc’sle restaurant in Galilee and she co-owned the Kenyon Station House Restaurant. Barbara worked as a food service supervisor for 27 years for the State of Rhode Island at Ladd Center and Eleanor Slater Hospital. Barbara was a loyal member of the Asbury Methodist Women’s Group and did outreach for the House of Hope along with other mission work. She will always be remembered for being genuinely kind, giving, and always said the right thing. The so named House of Hope Angel was alert, feisty, and full of wit till the very end, and will be greatly missed by her family all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Besides her husband Warren, Barbara leaves her loving daughter, Anastasia Conti Morse and her husband Harrison, of Scarborough ME. Grandsons: Kerry, John, Ronald, and Stephen, great-granddaughter, Eliza Rain, her special Raindrop. She is survived by her brother, Michael Sigley, his wife Elaine, and her dedicated niece Dana Fortin, her husband Mark, and their children Mike, Jon and Alexandra . Her sister-in-law Nancy Marion and her children Kate, Eric along with her great-nieces and nephews Cole ,Carver, Cadence, Calady, Claire, Henry. Also, her lifelong friend, and cousin, John Wayne Sigley and his wife Lori. She was also predeceased by her former husband, and lifelong friend, Ronald Conti, his wife Pat, and children Robert and Kim along with a niece and several nephews the Brownell’s and Conti’s of Boston.

An in-person and live stream service will be held May 1st 2021 10 a.m. at the Asbury UMC, 143 Ann Mary Brown Drive Warwick or at asburyumcri.org.

Reception will follow at the East Greenwich Fireman’s Club, 80 Queen St.
