Donald P. Brown, 76, of Wakefield, RI, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia "Cindy" Senior Brown, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. He is formerly of Exeter, RI, where he lived with his family for 45 years.

Don was born in Providence, RI to the late James and Dorothy (Boothroyd) Brown. He was raised in Warwick, earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Rhode Island and two Masters Degrees from RIC. His passion for learning led him to a fulfilling 40-year career in the Warwick school system, influencing countless students as a history teacher before retiring in 2003 as Principal of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School.

After retirement, Don continued his commitment to the community by working with South County Habitat for Humanity, where he used his skills and generosity to help others. He cherished spending time with his family and found great fulfillment in woodworking, gardening and enjoying the beauty of Rhode Island's coastline. A true history buff, he found great joy in sharing his knowledge and inspiring a love of learning in others.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Brown of Wakefield, his two sons, Jeffrey Brown and his wife Linda of Coventry, RI, and Gregory Brown and his wife Barbara "Bobbi" of Old Saybrook, CT, and his three treasured grandchildren, Madeline, Max and Jack, who affectionately called him "Gimpy". He also leaves behind his brother, Timothy Brown and his wife Kathy, his brother-in-law, Ronald Senior and his wife Denice, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Douglas Brown.
