Victoria "Vickie" Louise Brown, 76, of Greene, Rhode Island, passed away on Tuesday, June 3rd surrounded by her family. Born in Pasadena, California on March 16th, 1949, to her loving parents, the late Richard and Virginia (Greatrex) Deeble. She was the devoted wife to Robert “Bob” Brown for 57 years.
Victoria was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother, always supporting her family in any way she could. Vickie loved spending time on her farm, playing golf, going for drives with Bob and visiting with her family. Vickie was a terrific gardener, carpenter, knitter, cook, and seamstress. She made her own kitchen cabinets, numerous formal dresses for her daughters, and sweaters for the whole family. Once her children were grown, Vickie worked as a grocery clerk, as president of her family's business, and took care of her aging parents for many years until they passed.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister, Pam Diehl, her children, Stephanie (and Ben) Blue, Erica (and the late Joe Clapper) Brown, and Jessica (and Kim) Perkins, her grandchildren Dallas (and Courtney), Remington (and Cassandra), Stryker (and Alyssa), Aaní and Zen, and one great grandchild, Stryker Jackson Blue Junior, a large extended family including dozens of nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Dick and Virg Deeble, her in-laws Fred and Dorcas Brown.
A memorial service was held Sunday, June 8 at the farm at 12 Noon.
