Carl “Mucho Macho” Zambrano, 70, of Warwick passed away peacefully on Friday morning at the Hope Health Hospice Inpatient Center with his wife of 47 years, Cynthia L. (Devolve) Zambrano, and his children by his side.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Henrietta A. (Cioni) Zambrano. A lifelong resident of Warwick, Mr. Zambrano first had his own limousine and hearse business for 15 years, then was an investigator at the Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office for twenty-five years before retiring in 2017. Carl loved playing golf, cards and watching the local sports teams with his buddies. Most importantly he was a loving husband, father and grandpa.

Carl’s gift was his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. No matter where he travelled, he always ran into someone he knew. He made everyone feel accepted, cared for and understood. He never judged, found humor in even the most-dire of situations and truly embodied “not sweating the small stuff”.

Carl’s spirit and memory will be kept alive by those he loved most, including his wife Cynthia, his daughter, Nicole J. Marcone of Warwick; two sons, David P. Zambrano of North Kingstown and Michael C. Zambrano of Warwick. As well as his grandchildren, David Jr., Jacob, Brooklyn, Jax, Carmella and Carmine, brother Paul J. Zambrano of Richmond and by the many dear friends he leaves behind.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 https://www.hopehealthco.org/ways-to-give/donatenow/
