Carolin M. Fielder

Carolin M. (Gange) Fielder, age 88 of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Brown) Gange. She was the beloved wife of Edwin E. Fielder, with whom she would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in May. Carolin was a graduate of Aldrich High School, Class of 1951. A longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sincerity Chapter #24 (Adah Chapter), she served as Matron in 1965. She and Ed were parishioners of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Warwick for many years. The family was paramount in Carolin’s life and she was a deeply devoted wife, mother, Nanny, Great Nanny, and sister. She will be missed dearly by all whose lives she blessed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Edwin E. Fielder, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Marietta, GA, and Douglas T. Fielder and his wife Sharon of Peabody, MA; four grandchildren: Aubrey Dosen, Arianne Fielder, Shariel Fielder, and Kobe Fielder; and three great-grandchildren: Claire Kinnaman, Charlotte Kinnaman, and Henry Kinnaman; and one brother: Thomas Gange. She was predeceased by three siblings: George Gange, Alice Ewart, and Ralph Gange. A memorial service will be held in February at St. Barnabas Church, 3257 Post Road, Warwick.
