Carolyn F. (McArdle) Davenport, age 80, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Howard B. Davenport, Sr.

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie B. (Caouette) McArdle, she lived in Warwick since 1976. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Teresa’s High School in Providence and received her bachelor’s degree in education from Rhode Island College in 1962. Carolyn taught in public elementary schools for over 30 years, retiring from Edward S. Rhodes School in Cranston in 2005. She earlier taught in the Providence and Warwick school districts. She was a long-time active parishioner at St. Kevin Church in Warwick, where she served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister, Pastoral Minister for funerals, and on numerous parish committees. She was a member of St. Kevin’s Women’s Club.

She is survived by three sons, Howard B. Davenport, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Attleboro, MA, Scott J. Davenport and his wife Kirsten of Houston, TX, and Christopher T. Davenport of Warwick; and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by one granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, February 16, in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Her burial was private in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
