The Community College of Rhode Island Foundation recently elected three individuals to serve as trustees, including Angela (Angie) Bannerman Ankoma, Bryony Bouyer and Thomas F. Gilbane Jr.

Bannerman Ankoma currently serves as executive vice president, director of community investment, for the United Way of Rhode Island and is co-owner of the Copa Menswear clothing store located in Providence. She also serves as chair of the West Elmwood Housing Development Corporation (WEHDC) and is a founding member of WEHDC’s nationally recognized Sankofa Initiative. Bannerman Ankoma holds Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health degrees from Columbia University. She resides in Providence.

Bouyer currently serves as senior vice president, diversity and inclusion and multi-cultural strategies, at Hasbro Inc. She earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from UMass Dartmouth and a Master of Business Administration from Bryant University. In addition, she received an Honorary Doctorate from UMass Dartmouth, earned a certificate from Harvard Business School in Women of Corporate Boards, and completed the Hasbro Leadership Development program from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University. Bouyer resides in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Gilbane serves as chairman and chief executive officer at Gilbane Inc. and chairman of Gilbane Building Company. He holds several degrees including a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Babson College, Master of Science in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Certificate in Building Construction from the Rhode Island School of Design. In addition, he completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Gilbane resides in Newport.
