CCRI partners with Handshake to connect students with jobs, internships

The Community College of Rhode Island has announced a new partnership with Handshake, the largest early talent recruiting platform, to provide students better access to jobs and internships.

The nation’s top schools use Handshake to connect employers with job opportunities to a network of more than five million students. With Handshake expanding its reach to two-year institutions, employers can now post open positions exclusively to CCRI students, who will have access to the platform later this month.

CCRI was selected as one of the first community colleges to work with Handshake and joins higher education institutions across the state and country that utilize this platform to bring employment opportunities to students and alumni.

“CCRI is excited to launch Handshake and be a part of their pilot with two-year institutions. The timing is especially important as CCRI students and alumni begin to navigate the job market in this new economy,” said Tekla Moquin, executive director of Workforce Partnerships. “The platform will help connect our students with jobs that will drive our economy and help Rhode Island employers in the coming months.”

Companies currently hiring and looking to engage with CCRI students and alumni should search for CCRI on Handshake to post jobs. For additional support, employers should contact CareerServices@ccri.edu.
