Observant travelers accustomed to using Bruce Sundlun Terminal at Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport are already noticing changes as the Rhode Island Airport Corporation embarks on a $64-million program for the first major update of the facility since it opened more than 25 years ago. Sections of the terminal are blocked off to public access in a phased step-by-step program designed not to interrupt traffic during construction. One of the first noticeable changes is the replacement of terminal carpeting with terracotta flooring as seen in progress here. New lights, ticket counters and seating areas are also on their way.
