Charlestown's Flea By The Sea Beckons Visitors To Sea 'N Flea This Weekend, June 12 & 13

Posted by laine60

Did you know Charlestown's General Stanton Inn Flea Market is also known as "The Flea By The Sea"? With 3 cherished Charlestown beaches nearby, South County visitors and residents can sea and flea, all in a
Summer's day!

This Flea Market takes place on the sea-breezed, tree-lined grounds of the historic General Stanton Inn.

As a happy result of its' coastal location, The General Stanton Inn Flea Market (also known as Charlestown's "Flea By The Sea"), is treasured for its' nautical antiques. The catch 'o the week this Saturday and Sunday is an 1800s, brass navigational tool: a Maritime Parallel Map Ruler, used by navigators and map makers alike.

Other nautical antiques offered at "The Flea By The Sea" include fishing reels, inclinometers, lanterns, lures, sextants, ship's wheels, marine hardware, and ship models.

In addition to offering antiques in many categories, The General Stanton Inn Flea Market--which at 56 is the oldest Flea Market in R.I.--also has vendors selling collectibles, art, jewelry and other hand-made crafts, Farmers' Market goods, new merchandise and small-batch edibles.

New vendors are invited to join this Outdoor Flea Market, every Saturday and Sunday, through the end of the 2021 Season in October (Columbus Day.) Hours at the Flea Market are always 8 a.m.-3 p.m.. ADMISSION IS FREE. Food Trucks are also welcome to join
"The Flea by the Sea."
