Bettyann (Galligan) Christiansen, 84, of Warwick, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond Warren Christiansen for 59 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Madeline (Coleman) Galligan.

Bettyann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter who provided a loving home for her family. A compassionate person, she was the caretaker for her mother and aunt for many years and supported Robert John Talla in the Philippines for 9 years. Bettyann began her working career for Macy’s Credit Office where she worked for 27 years and went on to become the Chief Financial Officer for Emergency Response Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning from 2002-2018. A devout Catholic who loved our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, Bettyann was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Warwick where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister since 2010, a Member of the Morning Rosary Group since 2002, and an Auxiliary Member of the Legion of Mary since 2014.

She is survived by her beloved children, Raymond W. Christiansen (Tara) of Warwick and Colleen A. Vitali (Albert) of Pawtucket, and her four grandchildren, Albert J. Vitali III (Lauren Iannelli), Amanda Lynn Christiansen, Ariana Raye Vitali, and Aurora Mimi Christiansen.

Alongside her family, she is survived by her beloved friends, Eleanor Kelley, Carolyn Sevigny, Arlene Lineham, and Jane Lind.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 8:45AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in West Warwick.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00PM-7:00PM
