Preliminary Plan – Major Land Development

You are hereby notified that the Cranston City Plan Commission will meet to review the Preliminary Plan for a proposed Major Land Development entitled “Comstock Industrial Warehouse.”  This public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 6:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, located at 869 Park Avenue.

The subject parcel is located on Comstock Parkway, further identified as Assessor’s Plat 36, Lot 46. The property owner and applicant are Comstock Industrial, LLC, 21 Locust Avenue, Suite 1D-5 New Canaan, CT 06840. The parcel is 17.31 acres and is zoned M-1. 

The proposed Major Land Development project consists of two (2) buildings totaling approximately 270,000 square feet along with associated parking and landscaping.  The site will be used consistent with uses allowed in the M-1 zoning district, such as manufacturing, warehousing, and trucking activities.

All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which point the plans will be presented for public comment and City Plan Commission review.  All relevant project materials on this application will be posted to the City’s website prior to the meeting and can be found at https://www.cranstonri.gov/plan-commission-12.6.22/.  The staff report and recommendation will be posted to the same webpage prior to the meeting. If you are unable to access the internet, you can contact the Cranston Planning Department directly at 780-3222 and paper copies will be mailed out to you.

Pursuant to the Cranston Subdivision and Land Development Regulations, the proposed plan may be revised by the City Plan Commission as a result of further study or because of views expressed at this meeting.  Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired should contact the Planning Department at 780-3222, seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting date.
