The Pawtuxet Village Association Garden Club spent several hours on Saturday raking, weeding and cleaning Pawtuxet Park. Originally scheduled for April 26, the Earth Day clean-up attracted a handful of volunteers.
“We need more volunteers for our garden group,” said Melissa Gergel, garden club volunteer, shown here in a pause from weeding.
Club president Victoria Otta says the next project on their agenda is replacing or repairing the sign marking the entrance to the historic village on Narragansett Parkway near Bayside Avenue.
