Sweet spot to stop
Girl Scouts will again be operating a Mega Cookie Booth from the Girl Scout of Southeastern New England Leadership Center at 500 Greenwich Ave. Warwick this Friday from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Troops that were unable to sell the cookies they hoped to sell because of the pandemic will operate the booth allowing for customers to drive up and purchase cookies in a contactless transaction. All nine varieties are being sold at $5 a box, except for the Gluten Free cookie, which is $6 (limited quantities available). Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England has also been continuing its mission of making the world a better place by donating cookies to places like the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, Kent Hospital, the RI National Guard, and many others. With an armful of cookies – she couldn’t resist at least one box of every kind – is Rebecca Tarango of Warwick. (Warwick Beacon photo)
