She is survived by her brothers; Ronald, Lawrence and Dennis Capron and sister Janice Marenic. Regina was the grandmother of Daryl Smith, Joshua Cooney Sr. and Melissa Petrangelo, as well as great and great-great grand children.
She was fortunate to have bonus daughters Yolanda Melendez and Laura Martin who have been lovingly by her side for 8 years and have become bonus sisters to Gale.
As the oldest child of 10, she was a kind and loving daughter to her mother, wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She always put her family first. She was a true friend and neighbor to many. Regina never met a stranger!
Regina enjoyed life to her fullest, especially her time as “The Warwick Star Market Flower Lady”, as “Queenie of the Sunshine Girls”, and her water aerobics joy at GCSC for 25 years. Regina was a member of the PCB Woman’s Civic Club and the PCB Garden Club.
Sincere appreciation to the caring staff at Charter Assisted Living PCB for ensuring that her last 3 years were enjoyable and comfortable and to VITAS Hospice for her final hours.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
