David A. Boynton Sr., 55, of Taunton, formerly of Warwick, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 peacefully at home. He was the loving husband of Johanna (Keay) Boynton for 17 years.
David was born in Warwick, the son of Francis D. and Carol A. (Simas) Boynton. He graduated from Warwick Veterans High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Nazarene College. Mr. Boynton worked as a general manager of Chipotle and previously as the general manager for Boloco in Boston and Warwick.
David was a Star Trek and Harry Potter enthusiast. He enjoyed reading, listening to ’70s and ’80s music and watching the New England Patriots. David had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Mr. Boynton cherished the time he spent with his children and family.
Survivors besides his parents and wife are two sons, Patrick Boynton and David Boynton Jr. of Taunton; a daughter, Autumn Elizabeth Boynton of Taunton; two brothers, Edward Boynton and Steven Boynton of Warwick; and two sisters, Tracy Boynton-Gauvin and Kerri Boynton of Warwick. David is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James S. and Janet A Keay of Raynham, sisters-in-law Jennifer Vieira of Berkley and Juliette Collito of Raynham, and brother-in-law James S. Keay Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland.
Visitation for Mr. Boynton will be held on Thursday, December 19 from 4-7 p.m. in Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave, Taunton, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
