It may be a surprise for newcomers and old-timers alike to learn that Dave Picozzi, the owner of David’s Greenwood Barber Shop, has been cutting men’s hair for over forty years, thirty-one of these spent at his longtime shop on Post Road. Talk about a legacy of longevity and a lesson in loyalty!

Let that number sit with you for a while. In fact, let that number sit with you while you relax in the swivel chairs of barber Dave Picozzi and his son Geno. These barbers have been delivering personalized customer service, nurturing longstanding friendships, building a faithful clientele, and snipping, cutting & clipping hair for over three decades!  Multiple generations of sons, brothers, fathers, grandfathers, and friends alike have been taking a ride in those swivel chairs for a long time ~ some of whom have been coming for all 31 of the barber shop’s years

Staying relevant and vibrant in such a competitive environment is an extraordinary accomplishment on its own but is made even more remarkable in a world of increasing competition and times of hardship.  Chain salons.  Worldwide pandemics.  Economic highs and lows.  Changing hairstyles.  So many changes, yet David’s Greenwood Barber Shop remains true ~ not unchanged ~ but ever true to its high standards of quality workmanship and dedication to its customers.

Dave and Geno are grateful to the many customers who have stuck with them through all these changes. Customers of this dynamic duo have come to expect consistency, dependability and professionalism.

After 31 years, there are some other changes on the horizon for David’s Greenwood Barber Shop. It is finally time for Dave to enjoy the fruits of his labor and to finally “pass the torch” on to his son Geno.

 If you are a customer of Dave’s, you will now only find him at his styling station in the morning during the salon’s regular hours. Still devoted to making you look great but scaling back a bit to a well-deserved reduced schedule.

 If you are a client of Geno’s, his full schedule remains the same! And remember, for both Dave and Geno, it is as it has always been, walk-ins only!

One of the biggest changes for Dave and Geno involves the shop’s new hours, so if you are a new or longtime customer, MAKE NOTE. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursdays are noon to 5:00pm, and Saturdays, from 8:00am to 11:00am. Remember, you will only find Dave here in the mornings! Men and boys (ten years and older) are welcome.
