Members of the Conimicut Village Association were out in full force this Saturday trimming the tree in Donovan Park for Friday evening’s tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 and wiring lighted wreaths to 33 street lamps in the village. The park tree trimming was made easier thanks to Ron Gerouard of United Security who loaned his bucket truck for the decorating. The Hoxsie and Holden School Choruses will perform at the tree lighting that will be followed by a living nativity and refreshments at the Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian. Here Jamie Bobblit, left, and Jim Legg hang a wreath. Others assisting throughout the day included: Dick Deering, Tony Petrie, John Paul, Arthur Lima, Jeanne Brennan, Bev Cottam, Jane Tarring, Jake Boblitt, Gina Boblitt, Adele Anthony, Leslie Derrig, Lonnie Barham, Paul Tremblay and George Tarring.
