Donald L. Kuepker

Retired U.S. Navy LCDR Donald L. Kuepker, 95, passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.  He was the husband of the late Anna M. (Cipollone) Kuepker, age 91, of Warwick. 

Born in Prophetstown, IL, the son of the late Henry and Mildred (Peters) Kuepker.  Don was a 31-year Naval Officer (1944-1975), retired LCDR.  Don received the Navy Commendation medal, and Navy Unit Commendation Medal.  After the Navy, Don went on to graduate from Rhode Island College, Master’s degree program, and taught at Cranston West Vocational Technical High School for 15 years. Additionally, Don worked at Home Depot in the tool/construction department after his retirement from the Cranston School system,

He is survived by two sons, Martin Kuepker of San Francisco, CA and Mark Kuepker of Warwick; two grandchildren, Lyndsay Ann Gardner (Nathaniel) of Warwick and Mark Jay Kuepker, Jr. (Brandon) of Wickford; a great-granddaughter, Ava Lynne; and a daughter-in-law, Debby. 

He is also survived by his sister, Doris (Kuepker) Williamson.  He was the brother of the late, Clark Kuepker, Dale Kuepker and Clifford Kuepker.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 12 noon in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited and may visit on Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon.  Private burial, immediate family only, will be at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
