Donald Robert Forsman, 82, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Philip Hulitar Hospice in Providence. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Gustaf Adolph Forsman, Sr. and Emily May (Belanger) McAuliffe. He was the loving husband of Doris (Meunier) Forsman and the late Marion Forsman.
Donald worked as a Commercial Fisherman until his retirement. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Parkview congregation and belonged to the William Shields, Jr. Post 43, American Legion.
In addition to his wife Doris, he is survived by his beloved children, Mitchell J. Forsman (Lara) of Powell, OH and Brenda J. Forsman of Warwick, his sister, Lois M. Madden of Narragansett, and two grandchildren, Joseph R. Forsman and Jack O. Forsman. He was the brother of the late Gustaf Adolph Forsman, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 4 p.m. at the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
