Eleanor A. Thatcher

Eleanor A. Thatcher, 88, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at Avalon Nursing Home in Warwick. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (Donahue) Boyd, and the wife of the late Morton Thatcher Jr.

Eleanor worked as a waitress for The Great House, and then became a Special Ed School Bus driver for the City of Warwick. She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved playing golf, yard sales, playing High Low Jack. Eleanor was a volunteer for JONAH in Oakland Beach, and was a member of the Oakland Beach Fire Barn. She was a member of the Shields Post, Eastern Star and also a member of the Pilgrim Senior and Buttonwoods Senior Centers.

She leaves two daughters Luanne Mossman, and Kerri L. Hartman and her husband Rick; two sisters June Gordan and her husband Emo, and Christine Rigollett and her husband Harry, and her brother Paul Boyd and his wife Marlene; four grandchildren: Ricky, Danielle, Vincent, and Nicholas; one great-granddaughter Saidey; she is predeceased by her brother Freddy Boyd.
