Eleanor Peckham (Tyler) Menzies

Eleanor Peckham (Tyler) Menzies, 87, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Kent Hospital. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late George P. and Marjorie (Sargent) Tyler. She was the loving wife of the late John Campbell Menzies.

Eleanor graduated from Lockwood High School in 1952. After high school, she went to Bryant College where she graduated in 1954. After college, Eleanor went on to work as a Secretary at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was a communicant of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church serving as Clerk of the Vestry for ten years. She was inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1957 and was a member of the General Nathaniel Greene Pettaquamscutt Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as Regent for three terms.

She is survived by her beloved children, John A. C. Menzies and his wife Linda of Saunderstown, Marion F. P. Menzies and her husband Ralph Lechausse of Warwick, Mark A. T. Menzies and his wife Elizabeth Aguiar of Warwick, and her grandchildren, Alexander Menzies, David Menzies, Ian Menzies, Marissa Lombari, and Michela Lombari. She was the sister of the late George Tyler and the Rev. Charles Tyler.

Due to COVID 19, her Funeral Services will be private. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
