Elmer A. Caldwell

Elmer A. Caldwell peacefully passed away at Sunny View Nursing Home on May 3, 2020. He was born in Providence, son of the late Robert and Charlotte Caldwell.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a MP and proudly served in the 2nd infantry division. He retired from the Gorham Manufacturing Company after 40 years of service. After retiring, he volunteered at Cornerstone Adult Day Services, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

He was the beloved husband of his devoted wife, Beverly A. (Hamel) Caldwell. They would have been married for 64 years on September 21st. He was the loving father of Bruce E. Caldwell of Warwick and Lori J. Marshall and her husband Charles of South Kingstown. He was the devoted grandfather of Hayley J. Marshall of Seoul, South Korea. He also was the brother of Joyce Drake of Rumford, Mary Fallon of Westerly, William Caldwell of Cumberland, and the late Robert Caldwell of Arcadia, CA. He was also the proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. He loved being one of the kids with them during family outings.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the kind and considerate care given by the staff of Sunny View Nursing Home, with special thanks to Nadine, Anna, Paige, and Justine.
