Eric R. Jarvela, 53, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Karen L. (Finnigan) Jarvela for 28 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Richard E. Jarvela of Florida and Gloria (Roy) Chapman of New Hampshire. Eric graduated from Coventry Vocational Tech. He was a Master Mechanic and was recently employed for Tasca Ford Dealership. Eric was formerly employed at Dick Cranston’s and Flood Ford. Eric was a guitarist and co-founder of the band VYPER. He enjoyed power boating, and was an avid Patriots fan. Eric was an avid collector of antique firearms.
He was the brother of Scott Jarvela of Rhode Island, and Cheryl Hamel of Florida; uncle of Bryan and Nathan Hamel of Florida. He also leaves his cat Loopy and his many friends.
