Ernest T. Anderson

Ernest T. Anderson, 96, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. He happily
resided for the last three years at Bristol Veterans Home. He was the beloved
husband of the late Doris Anderson for 28 years. He was also the companion
of the late Alice Catelle. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Holger and
Elsie (Olson Hill) Anderson. Ernest was an Army Veteran, serving in WWII.
He was a machinist for Cleveland Twist Drill and also worked for WPRI as a
film editor. Ernest was the beloved father of late Ernest D. Anderson (wife
Sue), Kay Bourassa (fiancee Alfred Barnicoat), William W. Anderson (wife
Judy), Gloria Rossiter-Masi (husband Michael Masi) and Chrissy Catelle. He
is survived by his sister Shirley Coutu and the late Gloria Huntoon, Raymond
Anderson, Leonard Anderson, Russell Anderson, Robert Anderson and Betty
Ormsbee. He was the devoted, proud grandfather of 13, great grandfather of
22 and great great grandfather of 1. Ernest loved to travel, was an avid
craftsman, knitter and world’s best gardener. He was a friend to all and
always lent a hand to those in need up to the very end.
His funeral will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10 am in the Thomas
& Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass
of Christian Burial at 11 am in First Lutheran Church, East Greenwich.
Burial with military honors, will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting
hours, Sunday 4-7 pm.
