Joseph Charles Flamand Jr., 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Marion D. (Dusseault) Flamand for 56 years.

Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of the late Joseph C. Flamand Sr. and Beatrice (Cayer) Flamand. Joseph is survived by his loving children Sandra J. Rooney and her husband Daniel, James E. Flamand and his wife Gail, as well as Joanne L. Gardiner and her husband Raymond. He also leaves his 11 adoring grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; his brother Richard Flamand; his sisters Florence Clement, Pauline Stone and Corinne Ricci; his daughter-in-law Tammy Flamand and countless other relatives and close friends. Joesph is predeceased by his beloved sons Joseph C. Flamand III, Michael J. Flamand, and Gerald W. Flamand as well as by his brothers Robert and Norman Flamand.

Joseph proudly and honorably served his nation in both the United States Army and National Guard for a combined 38 years or service. Upon his discharge, he found a long and rewarding career working for the City of Warwick. He was a proud member of many different organizations throughout Rhode Island, including the Elks Lodge, VFW, Oakland Beach Fire Barn, Club Jogues and many more. He was also a founding member of the Flamand Family Association. In his free time, Joe loved attending antique car shows and became an avid antique car collector himself, a passion he shared with his friends and family. Above all, Joseph loved and cherished his family who will miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. His funeral will be held on Monday February 17, 2025 at 8:30am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. His burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
