Francis B. “Bud” Bushell Jr., 79, formerly of Columbia City, died at 9 p.m, Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the Timbercrest Home of the Brethren, North Manchester where he had been a resident since March 2019. He was born in Providence Rhode Island on September 17, 1940. He was the son of the late Francis and Virginia (Wood) Bushell. In 1959 he entered the US Air Force and served 23 years working with computers. After he retired from the Air Force, he joined Ingersoll rand in Hudson New Hampshire working with their IT department and retiring after 15 years.

He was married to Joyce Bushell from 1963 -1978, she passed away in February 2020 they shared a daughter Barbara Stenner, a granddaughter Cherelle Monhollen and her husband Chris, and a great-granddaughter Harper. A son, Steven Bushell, his wife Stephanie Reents, and a grandson Arlo. In May of 1978 he married Margie Heston, they made their home in Omaha, Nebraska and then moved to Hudson, New Hampshire. In April of 2006, they moved to Columbia City IN to be closer to Margie’s mom. Margie passed away in September of 2018. He is survived by a sister, Janet Fortenberry of Cranston, a brother Robert Bushell and his wife Robyn of Warwick, a sister Donna DeBlasio and her husband Ralph of Cranston, and a sister Kathleen Conti and her husband Kenneth of Warwick.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Bowen, and a brother, Michael Bushell.

Memorials in Bud’s honor are to go to the Columbia city church of the Brethren.

His visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 11-12 noon with a service at 12 noon in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Private burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans' Cemetery, Exeter.

Facemasks are required, social distancing will be observed.
