Glennis I. (Plympton) Barry, 98, of Warwick passed peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2020. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Thomas A. Barry in 1993. They were married for 47 years.

Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the Late Frederick A. and Marion A. (Brown) Plympton of Scituate, RI. She resided in Scituate, Cranston, and Providence moving to Warwick in 1958. She was an avid book reader and would spend countless hours at the William Hall Library in Cranston. She loved cats, residing with many throughout the years, and was a generous advocate for animal charities.

She leaves a son Wayne A. Barry and his wife Debra of Warwick, granddaughter Alyssa and two great-grandchildren. She is the mother of the late William T. Barry of Warwick and the sister of the late Wayne A. Plympton also of Warwick.

She and her family greatly appreciated the loving care provided by West Shore Health Center staff.

A private service will be held at Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home.
