The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC)has initiated several new amenities and services for patrons of T.F. Green Airport. Although passenger volume at PVD and throughout the nation remains low amid the COVID-19 pandemic, RIAC staff continues to work to improve and implement new services for the traveling public:
to provide a pleasant and private space in the airport concourse to accommodate nursing mothers, offering comfortable seating, bright natural lighting, paper towels, access to electrical outlets, hand-sanitizer, mirrors, as well as garment hangers and room for travelers’ personal belongings;
in all automated external defibrillator (AED) stations throughout the airport, helping to provide prompt access to lifesaving nasal administered medication for opioid overdoses until airport police and rescue teams can render additional assistance;
will be implemented for all airport operated parking facilities, including Garages A & B, as well as Lot D, providing yet another customer service upgrade to promote safe and healthy travel for all T.F. Green Airport patrons, and;
for airport operated parking, allowing one to reserve parking in advance for covered parking Garages A Garage B as well as short and long term parking Lot D. All reservations are scanned at entry and exit providing touchless implementation. Reservations and additional coupon savings lowering the daily parking rates to as low as $12 with no hidden taxes or fees are available at https://parkpvdairport.com. (Note: Due to lowered passenger volume, long-term parking Lot E remains closed until further notice.)
T.F. Green Airport cleaning crews continue enhanced sanitizing protocols, utilizing EPA and CDC approved hospital grade disinfectants, electrostatic sprayers, and automated cleaning technology to efficiently and effectively sanitize escalator railings and other high touch areas throughout the terminal. Free face coverings are also now available at airline counters, security check points and airport information desks. Passengers are also being encouraged to check with individual airline policies regarding COVID-19 policies, including facemask requirements. Updated links to airline specific COVID-19 travel alerts and safety requirements, are available on T.F. Green’s website at www.PVDAirport.com.
