Green Airport places 3rd in 10 Best Readers' Choice Travel Award

USA Today has named T. F. Green Airport as a winner in the 2021 “USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice” travel award contest for “Best Small Airport” in the nation.  T. F. Green Airport placed 3rd in the nationwide poll after being nominated as one of the Top 20 small airports in the country by a panel of travel experts. 

“We continue to be honored by the continued support shown by Rhode Islanders and throughout the nation who consider T. F. Green Airport their airport of choice,” Iftikhar Ahmad, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation said in a statement.  “All at T. F. Green Airport take pride that our commitment to excellence has been recognized by travel experts and passengers alike, and hope that these continued honors will help foster a quicker recovery to the region’s travel and tourism economy.”

“On behalf of the residents of Warwick, I am thrilled to congratulate T.F. Green on being named the 3rd Best Small Airport in the country,” said Warwick Mayor Frank J. Picozzi. “T.F. Green is an important transportation hub which connects Warwick to the world, and Rhode Island to the country. I am so glad travelers from across our country agree that T.F. Green provides a safe and comfortable travel experience to visitors and Rhode Islanders alike. Even though they may have been told they landed in Providence, we look forward to welcoming them to “Warwick” for years to come!”

Top honors went to Myrtle Beach International Airport, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina followed by Huntsville International Airport, Huntsville, Alabama in second place.
