Harold Kareliussen

Harold Kareliussen, age 91, of Warwick, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021, at West Shore Health Center in Warwick.  He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Bauer) Kareliussen. Born in Providence, a son of the late Einar and Lydia (Munro) Kareliussen, he lived in Warwick since 1983.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, and served with the 11th Airborne during the Korean War era. Mr. Kareliussen was employed as a machinist the E.G. & G. Sealol in Warwick for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He is survived by a brother, Robert Kareliussen and his wife Mary, of Cheshire, CT; a step-daughter, Linda Bourne of Athens, GA; two stepsons, Alan Mackie (Kathleen) of Cinnaminson, NJ and William Mackie of Kansas; a step daughter-in-law, Bernadette Mackie of Pennyslvania; and Douglas A. Pariseau of Warwick, who Harold always considered a son.  Harold also leaves seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the step-father of the late Robert Mackie, III; and the brother of the late Marion Robinson, Jane Briggs, and Richard Kareliussen. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 – 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
