Herman A. Paolucci 90, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023. He was the loving husband of Yolanda J. (D’Abrosca) Paolucci. They had been married for 63 years. Born in Warwick (Hillsgrove), he was the son of the late Paul and Carmella (Carano) Paolucci.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Herman received an Associates Degree in Business from Johnson and Wales University. He was a server for 19 years prior to purchasing The Cowesett Inn in 1977, retiring in 2018. He was an avid sports fan and loved to golf.
Besides his wife he is survived by Loving children, Lori Holmander, James Paolucci, and Barbara Paolucci. He was the grandfather of Bethany Lavery, and Craig Holmander, the great grandfather of Owen Lavery. He was the father-in-law of the late James Holmander. He was the brother of the late James, and Domenic Paolucci, and Lucy Simas.
His funeral will be held on Monday January 9, 2023, at 8:45 a.m. from the Carpenter Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Ave. West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation will be Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. Please visit carpenterjenks.com for online condolences.
