Hope C. (Barrie) Talbot, age 99, formerly of North Country Club Drive, Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. She was the wife of the late Roland P. Talbot.

Born in Warwick, the daughter of the late James C. and Anna V. (Ephraimson) Barrie, she lived in Cranston before moving to Warwick in 1957. She was a graduate of Cranston High School. She attended the former Children’s Hospital School of Nursing in Boston, MA, and earned a B.S. degree in Nursing Education from Boston University. During World War II, she served as a First Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps.

Hope was formerly employed as a registered nurse at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence, and served on the Board of the VNA of Rhode Island from 1985-1995.

She is survived by six nephews, James C. Barrie, David G. Barrie, Martin D. Barrie, Russell M. Barrie, Jeffrey C. Barrie and Thomas M. Barrie. Hope was the sister of the late Carl E. Barrie and James C. Barrie.
