Isabella Fraginis wins police patch design contest

The Warwick Police Department announced the winner of its community police patch design contest: Isabella Fraginis.

“Our contest was open to anyone under the age of 18 years old and had to be a community-oriented design,” Warwick Police said. “Artists were told that this patch would be sold to benefit the Rhode Island Brain and Spine Tumor Foundation during the month of May 2023.”

Police announced the winner on the department’s Facebook page.

“Isabella’s design embodied all the aspects of the organization for which we are fundraising,” according to Warwick Police. “Isabella’s design idea and colors were a perfect representation of the foundation’s logo. The RIBST logo colors are purple, which is the awareness color of cancer, gray which represents the gray matter of the human brain, and yellow flame which represents hope.”

The patches will be sold for $12 each. All proceeds will be donated to the Rhode Island Brain and Spine Tumor Foundation in order to assist in their mission. Go to warwickpolice.ecwid.com for more details.

“The mission of the Rhode Island Brain and Spine Tumor Foundation is to provide comprehensive support to those individuals and families of those diagnosed with brain or spine tumors, enhance their quality of life by providing education, spiritual and financial support, as well as assist those who conduct research and wish to study this field,” according to the WPD post.
